The Educator

Duncan is a Drama teacher and freelance Theatre Educator but with a lifelong love of music, and so, with a nod to his other existence he joins SRR as The Educator, not setting himself up as a specialist, but as an enthusiast who loves to share what he knows and loves with others. If a little bit of musical learning happens along the way then so much the better.

Having discovered African music through the joyful Zimbabwean sounds of The Bhundu Boys in the 1980’s, Duncan has been on a journey ever since, combining that with an interest in soul, funk, jazz and disco that was born from the lessons in early Hip Hop he received from his brother.

Where all this and more meets and blurs is where he is happiest.

The Educator’s School of Wax is where he will share and interest audiences in new tunes that they will love.
