The Mariner of Danu – monthly Sunday 10-midnight
As an avid collector of multi genres, Georgie (aka The Mariner of Danu) is at much at home playing a beautiful and eclectic set of curios as she is ramping the tempo up in her home city of Norwich to make the dancefloor move.
Often to be found slinging on records at local parties, Georgie has played for Norfolk crews GRL DEM and Cosmic Pint Glass, produced guest mixes for Flatland Frequencies and Our House, and provided DJ support for artists/producers such as Max Cooper, Luke Sanger, Plaid and Jane Weaver.
Her monthly show is for a world slowed down, flowing freely between sun-kissed polyrhythms, percussive heartbeats, ambient warmth and electronic soul.
Laid back noodlings could find themselves blended into a swell of ethereal pads, lovelorn acoustics might become fused with distorted fuzz, and a dub beat may provide a backdrop to the cries of a seabird.
Each journey different, but always flowing free with a balearic attitude.
